There is a short (four mile) extension of the trail into Rhode Island which is blazed yellow. This Narragansett Trail extension passes by the Long and Ell Ponds and passes through the Rockville Wildlife Management Area before ending at the former swimming area on Ashville Pond in Hopkinton, Rhode Island.
